Maryland, NC, Virginia Golf Tournaments

Welcome to TGAATour.com, the official website of the Tournament Golf Association of America Tour. Making innovative advances in competitive golf for players and enthusiasts of all levels, the TGAA has developed the premier series of Pro-Net tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region, with 2009 events occurring in Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. Golf tournaments using the Pro-Net scoring system are professional tournaments that take a handicap into account when scoring, meaning that players of all skill levels have a chance to win. The TGAA Handicap value is calculated using tournament scores, and the handicap is assessed throughout the player’s first five events, or can be created using recent scorecards.

Operating open golf tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region since 1996, the TGAA has grown in size and scope, offering many advantages smaller tours throughout the country cannot. Real-time scoring is available at each event on the course for competitors, in the clubhouse for competitors and spectators, and on the Internet for family, friends, colleagues, and other golfers. Tour partners and tournament sponsors offer discounts on products for TGAA Tour golfers.

If you’ve thought that your handicap will forever prevent you from the dream of professional golf competition, worry no further. Low membership fees and low tournament fees provide access to the ability to compete on the TGAA tour professionally for cash or as an amateur for prizes, and the purses offer significant winnings. Open Golf Tournaments

While on the TGAA Tour you are competing against other golfers for cash and prizes; you are truly, like with any great game of golf, competing with a course and yourself. In our open golf tournaments, all players, regardless of skill level or handicap, compete in one field and are asked to perform their very best, since Net Even Par should be achievable for all players.

In order to provide the highest level of interactivity below that of the PGA, we have partnered with eGolfScore for our real-time scoring. While you are competing, friends and family can follow along as the tournament progresses, monitoring your score and placement on the leaderboard from anywhere with an Internet connection.
