Pro-Net Open Golf Tournaments

Operating in the Mid-Atlantic region since 1996, the Tournament Golf Association of America (TGAA) has pioneered an innovative new competitive golf arena. With the TGAA’s Pro-Net open golf tournaments, avid golfers can compete on a level close to that of their PGA heroes without having to be a scratch golfer or qualify to do so. With the TGAA’s innovative structure, based on scoring related to a TGAA-assigned handicap value, players of all skill levels can compete amongst themselves and with one another at some of the most prestigious courses in Maryland, Virginia, and surrounding areas. This is the only tour where handicap players can compete on a professional level for cash prizes, and our purses are more significant than those offered by similar smaller tours. Players may also compete in our events as amateur golf tournaments for non-monetary prizes.

There are many benefits to competitive golf, even as a player with a handicap. Competing amongst players who are of a higher skill level often leads to significant improvement in your game, and with the advanced Pro-Net system, even par should be achievable for all players, meaning that you are always in the competition. The TGAA’s open golf tournaments feature real-time scoring from eGolfScore, so friends and family around the world can watch to see how you are performing as the tournament progresses via the internet. If you play as a Handicap Professional Golfer, it also becomes possible to write off golf expenses as a tax deduction.
